UniverSoul Circus

We went to the UniverSoul Circus in Memphis about 2 weeks ago. It was AMAZING!!!!!” I had so much fun and really enjoyed the show. I was sitting really close to the performers and even sometimes too close, as in the case when the elephants came out. Although the show was kind of fast-paced, it was well worth the money and time. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours and was filled with acts throughout. The only act I was truly unable to watch was the one in which the girls and boy twisted their bodies in all these weird positions. That was too much for me. But, overall, it was GREAT.

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger called Kontan from Kontan’s Place. She explains that she stole the meme from Tense. But, it was probably stolen at that blog as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

The Weekend Trip

This weekend the fam and I took a trip to Memphis. It was really fun and I truly enjoyed myself. We attended church at Breath of Life and because it was Women’s Day, the service was, IMO, extremely good and relatable.

Although I did not get the opportunity to go to a Mexican restaurant, I did get to go to my fav store, DollarTree. You see, while most people would choose to shop at a big box store or sommewhere extravagant, I’m into simple things. Put me in a Dollar Tree and I’m completely happy. I LOOOOVE me some Dollar Tree. I was not in the actual store long, but I picked up some great finds. Shopping is so relaxing.

After shopping, I was introduced to the best store bought pizza ever. My sister told me about Tony’s pizza and because I’m not into pizza that I’m required to bring home and cook, I was a little apprehensive. But let me tell you, that Tony’s Hamburger pizza was DELICIOUS. I have NEVER tasted a pizza so flavorful and just perfect.

Well, that was my weekend in a nutshell. Not a lot of hooplah, but I did get to see Key and that’s all I really needed.

I thought I’d share this because in actuality it was quite funny.

On the 4th of July, we were outside eating our barbecue, corn, and all the other delicious fixings. NuNu was so hungry that she got her plate before anyone and gulped it down in one bite ate it all up, being careful to chew her food completely. So NuNu eats and wants some more food. Pooh fixes her another plate, but this time she didn’t eat much. She leaves an ear of corn and some baked beans on the plate. I know that NuNu is going to be starving hungry in about an hour so I tell KiKi “take that corn in the house.” I look up and see KiKi take the corn off the plate with her hands and proceed into the house to put up for later. I immediately tell her that she doesn’t need to take it in the house, just put it back on the plate and throw it all in the garbage.

I now know that when I want something done, be specific with the instructions.

This weekend was a holiday one, but it was also very long, and I bet I can get a couple of people, who shall remain nameless, to agree. Spending time together is good and all, but overexposure and too much time together can be a very bad thing.

Thursday was hectic and when we finally arrived at our destination, I was so tired I went to bed, while others kept me awake stayed up talking and laughing.

Friday, the 4th, was great. The food was great. The dancing was great. The fireworks were spectacular. The impound truck looking for cars to tow, NOT GREAT.

Sabbath services at Breath of Life, Memphis were awesome. Really enjoyed the service and the members were so warm.

Seems like I had a great weekend. Yes, it was all good, but it was so tiring and loud that I knew my limit and was ready to go home.

Thanks Mr. Washington and the future Mrs., I’ll be back in a year or two or five, but no sooner AND ALONE….LOL.

The fam is spending the holiday weekend together in cramped quarters in Memphis. There are so many of us. I think my sis and her fiance have been anticipating this visit, or I at least hope so. I am looking forward to the food because my body is indeed ready to eat, eat, and do more eating. The nights are going to be torture for me with that level of noise unpredictable and hopefully sane.

It’s the 4th and we are a family that is going to celebrate this one together, as only we can.
