Key may not know what he’s going to be when he grows up, but NuNu is determined to be a cheerleader. Don’t know what brought about this, but there are strong feelings toward this career/occupation.

On another note, just a reflection of the past week’s events:

  • I’m proud that Barack Obama is the President of the United States of America. A lot of people went through a lot of different things over the years in order for this to happen and I’m glad that as a country we were able to do this.
  • Although President Obama is now in office, this by no means says that the work is done. Equality and justice should be the driving force for a better nation.
  • Service to others seems much more important to me. I desire to do more for others.
  • I’m glad George Bush was elected President. In a way, he made it possible for Barack Obama.

Christmas yesterday was really nice. I think NuNu and Key were just ecstatic with their gifts and had tons of fun unwrapping presents. Yes, she loves Christmas and all the decorations, lights and other festivities associated with the holiday, but for some unknown reason she hadn’t put a tree up in a few years. But, last night that all changed and I bet she was on cloud nine. And even though she put it up, NuNu said that the tree belongs to her and it was put up for her. As I think about it, NuNu may be telling the truth since she is the only child here and without her presence in the past, the tree hadn’t been up. NUNU IS A PRINCESS!!!!!!

I Love You, But You Make Me Sick

My adorable little nephew, whom I love dearly and can’t seem to get enough of, has come and infected everyone. Visiting for the weekend, I didn’t think the small amount of time Key was in my presence would affect me that much and his little cold be passed on. I’m happy to say that although I wouldn’t necessarily blame Key for my sickness, he did have a role in the horrible way I’m feeling presently. You see, Key gave that “bug” to NuNu, which in turn she readily made available to me. Thanks a lot, Key. Key sure does have an effect on people.
